What is Chiropractic?

A chiropractor is a primary care specialist focused on the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders, with an emphasis on treatment through manual adjustments and/or manipulation of the spine. The purpose of a chiropractic adjustment is to reduce pain and improve functionality. Chiropractic adjustments are typically performed on the spine, but they can be performed on extremities as well.

Benefits of Chiropractic Care

There are a number of benefits to using chiropractic care in conjunction with traditional medicine. Most important of which is the effectiveness of chiropractic care in reducing a patient’s level of pain and increasing their functionality. This is true of patients with either acute or chronic conditions. Chiropractic care is non –invasive. Chiropractic adjustments are very gentle yet effective. There are very few to no side effects to an adjustment. Symptom relief is achieved quickly. In most instances of acute pain or headaches, most patients will experience at least some improvement after just one adjustment. After a few sessions, significant improvement in noted in the majority of patients.

Acupuncture

Our licensed acupuncturist utilizes traditional Chinese medicine to provide alternative approaches for pain management. This technique uses thin needles that are inserted into the skin. Acupuncture reduces pain and improves physical function. Acupuncturists also educate patients on how to account for their own health and wellness.
