Tribal Member: Chickasaw
Rachel is a current medical student at the University of California- San Diego and a member of the PRIME-TIDE program, a dual MD/MPH program designed to prepare medical students to care for Native American communities as physicians. She is interested in becoming a primary care provider in the future. As a Citizen of Chickasaw Nation, it is her goal to help improve the health and well-being of the Indigenous community as a physician. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, in Biological Sciences while playing Division 1 volleyball. She is passionate about health equity in medicine.
