At the San Diego American Indian Health Center, we are dedicated to promoting mental health and well-being within our community. Our suicide prevention services are designed to provide support, resources, and intervention for those in need, fostering a culture of hope and healing.

What to Expect

1. Zero Suicide Program

Our Zero Suicide program offers targeted suicide prevention and intervention for individuals aged 25 and older. If you feel you may be at risk for suicide, please call us to schedule an appointment for screening.

2. Counseling Services

We offer individual counseling focused on suicide prevention, as well as comprehensive behavioral health support. Our clinicians are sensitive to the cultural perspectives and diversity of each client, ensuring that you receive care that is both respectful and relevant to your background.

3. Youth Events

Our outreach initiatives include various community events that promote mental health and well-being. These events focus on engaging individuals in conversations about suicide prevention and emotional resilience.

We accept all major insurance plans.

No insurance? Call (619) 234-2158 to enroll in a low or no-cost health plan through Covered California, Medi-Cal, or program.

American Indians/Alaska Natives from federally recognized tribes may receive routine care at no cost including visits for Medical, Behavioral Health, and Dental Care. 

Patients who are HIV positive may qualify for free oral health services through the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program.

Children aged 0-5 may qualify for free Dental Services through First 5 San Diego’s Oral Health Initiative.
